Children's Miracle Network at Shands Children's Hospital will host the sixth annual Belt Buckle Ball on Nov. 6, 2015 at The Farm Equestrian Center in Tallahassee, Fl. While the community dons their biggest, snazziest belt buckles, and enjoys music, funny-money poker, bull riding and games with traditional southern fare, guests will be raising funds toward patient and family support at Shands Children's Hospital.
Hundreds of Tallahassee's children and families unexpectedly find themselves needing specialized care not available to them locally. Funds raised through Belt Buckle Ball help purchase the latest medical equipment and diversionary items, fund pediatric research, and produce patient education materials and ensures the best in medical care is available when Tallahassee's kids need it!
Last fiscal year, more than 8,900 clinical and emergency visits at Shands Children's Hospital were from patients the Tallahassee and surrounding area. With 167 beds, the pediatric program is the second largest in the state of Florida, both in number of admissions and patient days. On a daily basis, UF Health physicians and staff provide a full spectrum of pediatric specialties and clinical services to children from throughout Florida and the United States. Shands Children's Hospital has recently been recognized among the nation's best in seven medical specialties by U.S. News & World Report, ranking highest in Florida for diabetes, endocrinology and gastroenterology. A sponsorship, at any level, will help continue this level of excellence in pediatric health care.
Every child deserves the best chance for a healthy future - by supporting the Belt Buckle Ball, we can provide the utmost care to Tallahassee's youngest residents. Thank you in advance for supporting our mission. The impact of your support is truly immeasurable.
